PRP for hair restoration is a procedure that involves withdrawing a patient's blood, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and growth factors, then injecting these into the scalp.

Platelet rich plasma contains concentrated growth factors that stimulate growth and healing. Early signs of AGA (androgenetic alopecia) have the highest sucess rate. Since the platelets contain vital growth hormones, PRP injections are naturally a good fit for stimulating lost hair follicles. The platelets are injected through the region that is thinning/balding which supplies the nutrients it requires to continue growing thicker, fuller, and healthier hair strand.

PRP for hair restoration treatments are completed every 4 weeks for a total of 3 times. A maintenance treatment may be done once every 6-12 months.
